A couple of weeks ago, we had the pleasure of having Jessie Miller in our class to talk about privacy. And in all honesty, it was both interesting and frightening. As our student, we understand and use tech on a daily basis. We are on social medias and it is also a big part of our professional life. I always thought that as a Millenial I was as tech-savvy as my students, but I am not so sure anymore.
Jessie made a point of teaching us how to protect ourselves and how to navigate this new reality where technology is omnipresent in our life as teachers. He talked to us about privacy policies, intellectual property and showed us great examples of cases around the world that could have never happened with great practises.
It was a very informative session that will surely be incredibly useful for us in the next couple of years.
