I have prepared two quick activities for my future French Immersion students. The first one is about “little scenes of everyday life”. I thought about the moments in my bilingual life when I simply didn’t have the proper vocabulary to accomplish the most mundane tasks like going to the hardware store or getting a haircut. I realized that it was a pretty useful knowledge to feel confident in another language. This is why I have created this fun activity where the students are asked to translate and play those little situations in French, but it could be use for every language.

The second activity is related to linguistic insecurity and is asking students to reflect on their own experience. They will have to listen to interviews or read texts about the linguistic insecurity in Canada and they will have to state in a tweet their opinion.
