I have to say that I am always impressed when I see teachers who have time to write a blog, do conferences, and share their knowledge with other teachers through the use of Social Media. When I left the marketing world, I swore I would never have Social Media anymore… but then I realized how useful it could be.

Creating your own support system

I have been playing with Twitter since the beginning of the semester and I have realized how it can be useful to follow other teachers and school districts. The amount of resources and insights they share is incredible and so reach. I have been carefully curating an #hashtag list and starting to follow some very interesting researchers or education specialists. I have found some of the researchers who wrote the majority of the resources I have for my Inclusion Toolbox and I have connected with MinecraftEDU to enhance my work in my Edtech Inquiry.

Curating a great list of hashtag and twitter handles can be a valuable resources. I have found so far that people are truly willing to help and support each others and it is totally refreshing!

I am excited to follow those people over the year and feel less shy about reaching out directly to them later.
